Bakunawa: Six Flags' Record‑Breaking Spinning Coaster
Six Flags Great Adventure is building a brand‑new roller coaster called Bakunawa that will open in 2027.
It will be the tallest and fastest spinning coaster in the world, standing 382 feet tall and reaching 100 miles per hour.
The ride has three launches that push riders from 0 to 60, 60 to 80 (while upside‑down), and 80 to 100 miles per hour.
Each train has 20 people and can spin freely, so the ride feels different every time.
The coaster will also break six world records, including being the first floorless spinning coaster and the first upside‑down launch.
People can buy 2027 season passes that let them ride Bakunawa and get unlimited park access and free parking for 2026 and 2027.
