Mumbai School Students Study in Hall Since 2022 Due to Demolition
Imagine a school where the classrooms aren't ready yet.
In Mumbai, students from Classes 1-8 are studying in a big hall, using steel cabinets as walls.
This is because their old school building was torn down, and the new one isn't built yet.
Students attend in shifts, with older kids in the morning and younger ones in the afternoon.
The school offers free education.
However, the temporary school is further away, making it harder for the students to get there.
Students in a Mumbai school are using a multipurpose hall as a temporary classroom since 2022.
The hall, designed for events, houses classes 1-8, separated by steel almirahs.
The Marathi-medium school building was demolished in 2022, and its reconstruction hasn't started.
Students study in shifts: Classes 6-8 in the morning, classes 1-5 in the afternoon.
Parents and students are concerned about the distance to the temporary school location.
