Verka Clarifies Milk Price Changes Amidst GST Adjustments
Some prices of milk and other dairy products are changing because of a change in a tax called GST.
Milk that comes in pouches still has the same price because it was never taxed.
But milk in boxes (tetra packs) is now cheaper.
Other products like paneer, butter, ghee, and ice cream are also cheaper.
A GST expert is explaining these changes and making sure the companies reduce prices so customers save money.
Companies must lower prices when taxes go down, otherwise, they could be in trouble.
Verka clarified that milk pouch prices remain unchanged due to GST exemption.
GST reduction benefits are applied to tetra pack milk and other dairy products.
