Govt. Offers Subsidies for EV Charging and Battery-Swapping
The government is giving money to help build places to charge and swap batteries for electric vehicles!
If you have a government building, like a school, they might pay for all the costs to build these stations.
In other places, like malls and along highways, they will also pay a big part of the cost.
The goal is to make it easier to charge electric cars, so more people will buy them and help the environment.
BHEL, a company, will be in charge of this project, and will also create a national mobile app.
The PM E-drive scheme provides subsidies for EV charging and battery-swapping.
Full subsidy is offered for stations in government premises.
An 80% subsidy is available for public spaces and highways.
BHEL will implement the project.
A national app will integrate the charging stations.
