Ex-SP MLA booked for idol immersion row

A former MLA from the Samajwadi Party, Manoj Kumar Singh, was arrested along with others for causing trouble during a religious procession.

The police had asked them to follow a specific route and keep the music volume low, but the group didn't listen.

The former MLA argued with the police and tried to take a different route, which led to his arrest.

The incident happened in a town called Saiyadraja in Uttar Pradesh.

Meanwhile, AAP leader Sanjay Singh responded to a notice from the Varanasi Police regarding the demolition at Manikarnika Ghat.

He alleged that ancient and historical structures were damaged in the name of construction, calling it an attack on Sanatan Dharma.

Sanjay Singh demanded an impartial inquiry and the withdrawal of the case against him, arguing that showing the truth is not a crime.
