AI's future in India includes big cities and small towns: Nasscom director
A leader from Nasscom, which is a big group for technology companies, said that AI is not just for big cities.
It can help small towns too.
He talked about this in a meeting in Imphal, the capital of Manipur.
He believes that AI can help people in small places like Imphal, Churachandpur, Ukhrul, and Thoubal.
He wants students, small businesses, and communities to learn about AI and use it to solve local problems.
He also said that keeping data safe and making sure everyone is included is very important.
Nasscom director Nirupam Chaudhuri said AI is becoming a democratic force, impacting both big cities and small towns.
He suggested Manipur should be a 'living lab' for inclusive AI, serving both local and global needs.
Chaudhuri emphasized that AI capability building should start at the grassroots level, involving students, startups, and communities.
He highlighted the importance of data privacy, cybersecurity, and inclusivity as foundational principles for AI in Manipur.
The future of AI in India will be shaped in places like Imphal, Churachandpur, Ukhrul, and Thoubal, according to Chaudhuri.
