Pawar, Supriya meet Modi over NCP support

Sharad Pawar and his daughter Supriya Sule met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his office.

They discussed the Delimitation Bill, which the government wants to pass in Parliament.

The NCP (SP) wants a written promise for a 50% increase in seats before they support the bill.

This meeting is important because the NCP (SP)'s eight MPs could help the government get the two-thirds support needed for the bill.

There are also rumors that some in the NCP (SP) want to join the NDA, the ruling coalition.

During the meeting, Sharad Pawar submitted a memorandum to the PM listing the issues faced by the farmers.
