India to Launch Barrier-Free Toll System on National Highways
India is introducing a new toll system called Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) on its highways.
It allows cars to pass through toll plazas without stopping.
Instead of stopping to pay, cars will be charged automatically using FASTag and cameras that read license plates.
This system helps save time and reduces traffic jams.
It will also lower the amount of fuel cars use and lessen pollution.
The first fully barrier-free toll plaza will be in Gujarat.
The goal is to create more efficient and eco-friendly highways for everyone.
India is implementing a barrier-free toll collection system called Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF).
MLFF uses FASTag and automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) to automatically collect tolls.
The new system aims to reduce traffic congestion, fuel consumption, and emissions.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will implement MLFF at 25 toll plazas.
The Choryasi Fee Plaza in Gujarat will be India's first fully barrier-free tolling site.
