Feasibility of New University in IIIT Basar Questioned
The Chief Minister of Telangana, A Revanth Reddy, announced that a new university would be set up in IIIT Basar, which is already a university called Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies.
Some politicians and student leaders are questioning this decision.
They think it would be better to set up the university in a different place, like Utnoor, which is well-connected and would help more students, especially those from tribal and marginalized communities.
They also point out that there is already a university nearby in Nizamabad district.
The Chief Minister had initially proposed Indravelli but later changed his mind.
People are worried that setting up the university in IIIT Basar might not be the best idea and are asking the government to reconsider.
