NCP MLA Demands Probe Into Pune University Fake Degree Scam
A politician named Rohit Pawar says that a university in Pune may have been giving fake degrees to people who paid money.
He wants the police to look into it and check all the records.
He also says that the university might have hired people unfairly and that a big political party might be involved.
Pawar warns that if nothing is done soon, his group might protest.
He also thinks a new rule that stops selling junk food near schools is not helpful.
NCP-SP MLA Rohit Pawar demanded a high‑level probe into a fake degree scam at Savitribai Phule Pune University.
He called for criminal charges against suspended employee Ramesh Mukhekar and forensic audits of the university’s records.
Pawar alleged the scam could involve many more fake certificates and that irregularities in faculty recruitment may be linked to BJP influence.
He warned that his party would launch agitation if action is not taken within 12 days.
Pawar criticized the Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration’s junk‑food ban around schools and colleges as misguided.
