Kerala Districts Receive Funds for Monsoon Disaster Readiness
The government is giving money to each district in Kerala to help them get ready for the monsoon season.
Each district gets 1 crore rupees to use for things like cleaning up drains and making sure emergency services are ready.
The money is meant to help them act quickly if there's a flood or other problem.
Two cities, Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode, which often flood, are getting even more money to help prevent floods.
This funding is to protect people and property from monsoon-related disasters.
The Kerala government sanctioned Rs 1 crore to each district collector for monsoon preparedness.
The funds come from the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF).
District Disaster Management Authorities (DDMAs) can use the funds for immediate response.
Rs 25 lakh of the sanctioned amount is discretionary.
