12 Delhi School Health Clinics Inactive After Three Years
The Delhi government started a project in 2022 to set up health clinics in 20 government schools.
These clinics were supposed to give students regular check-ups, first aid, and other health services.
However, after three years, 12 of these clinics are still not working.
The clinics were built, but they don't have doctors or nurses to run them.
This means many students are not getting the health care they were supposed to receive.
The government had planned to check all students' health within three months and provide special care for any problems found.
But because the clinics are not working, this plan hasn't been fully carried out.
Health clinics were set up in 20 Delhi government schools in 2022 as part of a pilot project.
12 of these clinics remain non-operational after three years.
The clinics were intended to provide regular check-ups, OPD facilities, first aid, medicines, and mental health support to students.
Staff, including doctors and nurses, were appointed for the clinics, but many are still not operational due to the absence of staff.
The project aimed for 100% health screening of all enrolled students within a three-month window.
