How Nibkarori Became a Railway Station Through Baba’s Legend

How Nibkarori Became a Railway Station Through Baba’s Legend

Neem Karoli Baba was once known as Lakshman Das.

A traditional story says he boarded a train without a ticket.

A railway official reportedly made him leave near Nibkarori in Uttar Pradesh.

After he sat under a tree, the train allegedly would not move.

Railway workers then asked him to return to the train.

The story says the train started moving after he got back on.

Baba reportedly told officials that villagers needed a nearby railway station.

The station is now known as Nibkarori and the story appears in the film Hanuman Ansh.

The supernatural part is based on faith, biographies, oral traditions and devotees’ accounts rather than independent railway documentation.
