Giant Rock Layer Discovered Beneath Bermuda Triangle

Giant Rock Layer Discovered Beneath Bermuda Triangle

Scientists have found a huge, 12.4-mile-thick layer of rock deep under the Bermuda Triangle.

This area is famous for mysterious disappearances of ships and planes.

The rock layer is different from what is usually found on Earth and is thought to be left over from ancient volcanoes.

It might be why the seafloor is higher in this area, even though there are no active volcanoes.

This discovery could help us understand how islands like Bermuda are formed and might change what we know about Earth's geology.

The scientists plan to study other islands to see if they have similar structures.
