UP Police measure, fine oversized DJ systems at Kanwar Yatra

Every year, many people in India go on a special walking trip called the Kanwar Yatra.

They walk to holy places like Haridwar to collect water from the Ganga river.

Some people bring big trucks with very loud music and flashing lights, called DJs.

The loud music and big trucks were causing problems like noise and traffic jams.

So this year, the police in Uttar Pradesh made a rule: DJ systems must not be taller than 12 feet or wider than 10 feet.

Police officers measure the DJs with sticks and tape when they reach the city borders.

If a DJ is too big, the owners are told to make it smaller or leave the city.

One DJ, called Kashyap DJ, was given a fine of Rs 50,000 in Muzaffarnagar.

The police are also making short videos to tell people about road changes.

They want everyone to have a safe trip with no accidents.
