BSF Opens New Facilities as Minister Praises Security Role
The Border Security Force helps protect India and fight armed groups.
Bandi Sanjay Kumar visited a BSF headquarters near Chennai.
He opened several new buildings for the force.

They include offices, housing and barracks for personnel.

Union minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar praised the Border Security Force for protecting India and fighting Naxalites and other internal threats.
He inaugurated new administrative and residential buildings at the BSF sector headquarters in Keerapakkam near Chennai.
The Chennai–Malkangiri sector was formed in 2014 to counter Naxal violence and maintain internal security.
The new facilities cost more than ₹30 crore and include offices, officers’ buildings and a jawans’ barrack.
Officials said the complex will improve personnel welfare, rest, hygiene, medical care and educational support for BSF families.
