CJP backs Jharkhand students' protest, won't take credit

Many students in a state called Jharkhand are unhappy because they think something went wrong with the big exams they took for government jobs.

They have been protesting for 14 days.

Some students are on an indefinite hunger strike, refusing to eat to show how serious they are.

They want the exam canceled and a fair investigation by people from outside the state.

They asked for the CBI, a special federal police team, or retired high court judges to look into it.

A man named Abhijeet Dipke leads a group called the Cockroach Janta Party.

His group is helping by bringing food to the protesters and cheering them on.

He says the students should lead the protest themselves and get the credit, not his party.

He also agreed with a senior leader who said young protesters should not be called anti-national.

Now the students hope the government will officially invite them to talk.
