Telangana BC Commission Seeks Action Against Social Boycotts

People from villages in Nizamabad told the Telangana Backward Classes Commission about unfair treatment.

About 90 people submitted written complaints.

Some said Village Development Committees imposed social restrictions, fines or other pressure.

Commission chairman G. Niranjan asked officials to enforce the law.

He suggested a committee to monitor the village committees.

He also called for free legal help and awareness campaigns.

District Collector Ila Tripathi said the administration would take firm measures.
