India's First Aviation Education City Launched in Andhra Pradesh
India is building its first special city for learning and research about planes, space, and defence.
This city will be in Andhra Pradesh, near a new international airport.
It will have schools, research centres, and places for new ideas to grow.
The government wants to make India a top place for learning about these important areas.
Right now, India needs more trained people in these fields, and this new city will help train more experts.
The city will also help companies and students work together to create new things.
It's a big step to make India stronger in aviation, aerospace, and defence.
The airport near the city will also start testing soon, a month earlier than planned.
Andhra Pradesh is developing India’s first dedicated Aviation, Aerospace, and Defence (AAD) Education City.
The project, named 'GMR Mansa's Edn City Project', will be launched by Minister Nara Lokesh near Bhogapuram International Airport.
Spread across 160 acres, the city will focus on higher education, research, and industry collaboration in aviation, aerospace, and defence.
The initiative aims to address skill gaps and position India as a global destination for education and innovation in these sectors.
Bhogapuram International Airport trial run is scheduled for next month, a month ahead of the originally planned June 2025 opening.
