Mohit Gogia arrested over Rs 200-crore Delhi bungalow fraud

Mohit Gogia arrested over Rs 200-crore Delhi bungalow fraud

Some people in Delhi wanted to buy very fancy houses.

A man named Mohit Gogia came to them and said he could get them a beautiful old bungalow very close to the Prime Minister's home.

He said the bank had taken the house and was selling it for a much lower price.

But the bank later said it never planned to sell that house, and Gogia's papers were fake.

One family gave him a really huge amount of money — more than forty crore rupees.

Gogia kept promising they could move in soon, but the house was never theirs.

When the family asked for their money back, the cheques he gave them bounced.

Police found many other people who said the same thing had happened to them.

The police arrested Gogia and several other people involved.

They are still looking for another man they think may have been the boss of the whole plan.
