Heavy Snowfall Disrupts Travel in J-K
Heavy snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir has caused a lot of problems.
All 58 flights scheduled at Srinagar Airport were cancelled, leaving many tourists stranded.
The main road between Jammu and Srinagar is closed because of snow, and some train services were also affected.
Rescue teams and the army are working hard to help people and clear the roads.
The weather is expected to stay cold with more snow, which might cause more travel problems.
Some brave people, like a doctor, are still going to work to help others, even in the bad weather.
The government has also warned about avalanches in some areas.
Heavy snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir led to the cancellation of all 58 scheduled flights at Srinagar Airport, stranding hundreds of tourists.
The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) and other major roads were closed due to snow accumulation, disrupting emergency services and military movement.
Rescue and road clearance operations were undertaken by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) and the Army to restore connectivity and evacuate stranded individuals.
The MeT office predicted light to moderate rain or snow across most places, with the possibility of thunder or gusty winds, and light precipitation expected on Wednesday.
Avalanche warnings were issued for eleven districts in Jammu and Kashmir, and a doctor in Shopian braved waist-deep snow to reach the hospital and perform surgeries.
