Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital Launches Tele-Robotic Surgery Program
Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai has started a new program called Tele-Robotic Surgery.
This program uses robots and fast internet to let doctors in Mumbai help with surgeries in far-away places like Jamnagar.
The first surgery was a big success.
Doctors in Mumbai controlled the robot while doctors in Jamnagar helped.
This means people in remote areas don't have to travel far for special surgeries.
The program uses special robots made in India and fast internet from Reliance Jio.
The goal is to make sure everyone, no matter where they live, can get good medical care.
The hospital believes that using technology with care and compassion can make healthcare better for everyone.
Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital (HNRFH) in Mumbai launched a Tele-Robotic Surgery Program in collaboration with the Dhirubhai Ambani Occupational Health & Community Medical Centre in Jamnagar.
The program uses an indigenously developed robotic surgical system powered by Reliance Jio’s digital connectivity to perform and guide robotic-assisted procedures remotely.
The first successful tele-robotic surgery was performed at the Community Medical Centre in Jamnagar, led by the hospital’s Director of Urology Oncology.
The initiative aims to reduce healthcare inequalities by providing timely access to specialised surgical care in remote areas.
The program combines advanced robotics, fast digital networks, and clinical expertise to deliver world-class surgical care regardless of geography.
