Kavi Art Revival in Coastal Karnataka

Kavi Art Revival in Coastal Karnataka

In a small village in Karnataka, people are learning an old art called Kavi painting.

This art was once painted on temple walls and houses.

Now, 30 artisans are learning to paint on pottery, fabrics, and wooden items.

The government and a cooperative society organized this training to help save this old art and give people a way to earn money.

Experts taught them how to use natural colors and adapt the art for modern use.

The artisans hope this will help them keep their culture alive and make a living.
