Tabraiz Shamsi Wins Legal Battle Against Cricket South Africa
Tabraiz Shamsi is a cricket player who had a contract with a team in South Africa called MI Cape Town.
He wanted to leave this contract to play in other countries, like the UAE and Australia.
The organization that controls cricket in South Africa, called Cricket South Africa (CSA), gave him permission to leave but only for a short time.
This wasn't enough for Shamsi, so he went to court.
The court said CSA had to give him more time and pay his legal costs.
Shamsi was happy with the decision and said he didn't want to go to court but had to for his career.
Tabraiz Shamsi won a legal battle against Cricket South Africa (CSA) in the Johannesburg High Court.
Shamsi withdrew from his SA20 contract with MI Cape Town to play in the ILT20 and BBL.
CSA initially granted a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) valid only until December 19.
The court ordered CSA to extend the NOC until January 4 and pay Shamsi's legal costs.
Shamsi expressed gratitude for the court's decision, stating it was necessary for his career.
