Aviation Ministry Orders Airline Audits Ahead Of FAA Assessment

India’s aviation ministry wants its airline safety checks completed before an important review.

The review will be conducted by the United States aviation regulator, the FAA.

It is scheduled for November.

The ministry told India’s aviation regulator, the DGCA, to inspect major airlines.

The inspections looked at engineering work and other safety matters.

IndiGo, Air India, Akasa Air and SpiceJet were audited.

All four audits have reportedly been completed.

The DGCA has reviewed what the audits found.
