THINK Gas to Reduce CNG and PNG Prices
THINK Gas, a big company that supplies cooking gas and fuel for vehicles, is going to lower its prices.
This is because of new rules from the government that make it cheaper to transport gas through pipes.
The price of gas for vehicles (CNG) will go down by up to ₹2.50 per kilogram, and the price of gas for homes (PNG) will go down by up to ₹5 per unit.
In some places like Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Rajasthan, the company is also lowering the price of PNG even more, even though these places aren't connected to the big gas pipes yet.
The new rules start on January 1, 2026, and the company says this will help more people use gas for cooking and driving, and it will also help the company expand to more places.
THINK Gas will reduce CNG prices by up to ₹2.50/kg and Domestic PNG prices by up to ₹5/SCM in several states.
Additional voluntary reductions in Domestic PNG prices in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Rajasthan.
The price reductions follow the PNGRB’s revised Unified Tariff framework, effective January 1, 2026.
The new framework aims to reduce pipeline transportation costs, making natural gas more affordable.
THINK Gas commits to passing on the benefits to consumers across its authorized areas.
