Meta Names OpenAI's Shengjia Zhao as AI Lab Chief
Meta, the company behind Facebook, has appointed Shengjia Zhao as the head of its new Superintelligence Lab.
Zhao, who previously worked at OpenAI on projects like ChatGPT, has been leading the lab since it started.
Now, Zuckerberg made his role official.
Zhao will work with other leaders to set the research goals for the lab.
Meta is also bringing in talented researchers from other top companies to boost its AI efforts.
Shengjia Zhao, previously of OpenAI, will lead Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL).
