Karnataka Extends Menstrual Leave to Government Employees

The Karnataka government has decided to give women employees one day of paid leave every month because of their menstrual cycles.

This leave is for women between 18 and 52 years old who work in government jobs.

The government says this is to help women feel better and be more comfortable.

They also talked about how women are now more independent and have better opportunities than before.

Some people, like the Bangalore Hotels Association, think this rule is not fair and have gone to court to challenge it.

The government is also working on other programs to help women, like the Akka Pade safety initiative.
