Haryana Govt to Change Lado Lakshmi Yojana Payment Schedule
The government in Haryana has a plan called the Lado Lakshmi Yojana to help families.
Right now, they give money every month, but the Chief Minister thinks it's too little at once.
So, he wants to change it so families get a bigger amount of money every six months instead of small amounts every month.
This way, when they get a larger sum, they can save it up, maybe even earn a little extra money on it, and use it to start a small business or help their family grow.
He mentioned that they have already set aside a lot of money for this plan and might even increase it.
The Haryana government is considering changing the payment schedule for the Lado Lakshmi Yojana.
Currently, beneficiaries receive Rs. 2,100 per month.
The proposed change would disburse Rs. 12,600 every six months.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated the aim is for accumulated funds to benefit recipients with potential interest for business or family support.
An annual budget allocation of Rs. 5,000 crore was mentioned, with a possibility of future increases.
