Delhi Launches Lakshmi Yojana for Women
The Delhi government has launched the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana, which will give eligible women Rs 2,500 every month.
This money is to help them with their daily expenses, education, and health needs.
The government will start taking applications on August 1, and the first payment will be made on Raksha Bandhan, which is August 28.
Women between the ages of 21 and 60, whose families earn less than Rs 2.5 lakh a year, can apply.
However, they must save Rs 1,500 of the Rs 2,500 in a special savings account.
The government believes this will help women save money for the future.
Some people think the amount is too small and the rules are too strict.
