India Warns of Consequences from Russian Oil Sanctions
India's Petroleum Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri, said the world would face problems if Russian oil supplies get disrupted.
He said there are no sanctions on buying oil from Russia.
He warned of significant consequences if sanctions are imposed.
The US has put extra taxes on Indian imports.
He also mentioned many countries still buy oil from Russia.
Puri mentioned that a balance between supply and demand is essential for oil prices.
He also added that it's in the US's interest to keep fossil fuel prices stable due to domestic politics and shale gas.
Hardeep Puri stated that there are no sanctions on the purchase of Russian crude oil.
He warned that disrupting the supply would lead to serious consequences.
