Nissan Expands India Presence with 3 New Models
Nissan, a car company from Japan, is planning to bring three new car models to India.
The first one, called Gravite, is a big car that can seat seven people and will come out early next year.
After that, they will introduce two more cars: a mid-sized SUV called Tekton in the middle of 2026 and another seven-seater SUV early in 2027.
Nissan also wants to open more stores in India, going from 155 to 250 by the end of this financial year.
Right now, they only sell one car in India called Magnite, but they send it to 65 other countries too.
The company thinks India is a very important place for their business and wants to make cars that Indian people will like.
However, they will face competition from other car companies like Renault, Maruti, and Kia, who already have similar cars in the market.
Nissan plans to introduce three new models in India over the next 14-16 months, starting with the Gravite, a seven-seater MPV launching in early 2026.
The company aims to expand its sales network from 155 to 250 outlets by the end of the financial year 2025-26.
Nissan currently sells the Magnite model in India and exports it to 65 markets across South Asia, West Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
India is considered a strategic hub and growth driver for Nissan's overall strategy.
Nissan's new models, including the Gravite and Tekton, will compete with established models from Renault, Maruti, and Kia in the Indian market.
