Maharashtra Government Reserves 70% Jobs in Cooperative Banks for Locals
The government in Maharashtra has decided that most jobs in local cooperative banks must go to people who live in that specific district.
This means 70 out of every 100 jobs will be for local residents.
The remaining 30 jobs can be for people from other districts.
If they can't find enough people from outside the district, they can hire more local people.
Also, all future hiring for these banks will only happen through three approved organizations to make sure the process is fair and honest.
This rule applies even to banks that had already started looking for new employees.
The government wants to help local people get jobs and make sure hiring is done in a trustworthy way.
Maharashtra government mandates 70% job reservation for local candidates in District Cooperative Banks.
The remaining 30% of positions will be open to non-district candidates.
All future recruitments will be conducted exclusively through IBPS, TCS-iON, or MKCL.
The directive applies to banks that had already issued recruitment advertisements.
The decision aims to boost local employment and ensure transparency in the hiring process.
