Fadnavis Promises MIDC in Bhor
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis visited Bhor, a place in the Pawar family's stronghold, and promised to set up a MIDC (Maharashtra Industries Development Corporation) there.
This is a big deal because Bhor has been waiting for this for a long time.
Fadnavis said that now that the BJP is in Bhor, no one can stop its development.
He also mentioned that the BJP has already given financial help to a sugar factory in Bhor.
Sangram Thopte, who joined the BJP from Congress, said that the NCP, led by Ajit Pawar, had not been fair to Bhor and had not approved a loan waiver for the sugar factory earlier.
Thopte said that Fadnavis, despite opposition, got the financial assistance approved.
The BJP and NCP are competing in the local elections in Bhor, and the Congress has very little presence there.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis promised to set up a MIDC in Bhor to fulfill a long-pending demand.
Fadnavis sought votes for the BJP in the Bhor Nagar Parishad elections, where BJP is competing against NCP.
Sangram Thopte, a former Congress legislator, joined the BJP and alleged that NCP had hampered Bhor's development.
The BJP government approved a Rs 467 crore financial relief package for the Rajgad sugar cooperative factory in Bhor.
Thopte claimed that the NCP had not approved a loan waiver for the sugar factory earlier, but Fadnavis managed to get it approved.
