Visakhapatnam Lacks Maintenance After City Beautification
The city of Visakhapatnam in India is known for its beautiful decorations and plants that are put up for big events.
Before the CII International Partnership Summit-2025, the city was made very pretty with new plants and fresh paint.
However, after the event, no one took care of the plants, and they were eaten by cows because there were no fences to protect them.
Soon, the city will host three more big events, and instead of spending more money on making the city beautiful again, the city officials should focus on taking care of the existing plants.
This will save money and effort.
Visakhapatnam beautified for CII International Partnership Summit-2025 with plants and paint.
Post-event, maintenance of plants is neglected, leading to damage by cattle.
Upcoming events in February 2026 include International Fleet Review 2026, MILAN 2026, and 9th IONS Conclave of Chiefs.
Lack of tree guards and fencing contributes to the poor maintenance of plants.
GVMC should focus on safeguarding existing plants to save money and effort.
