AIIMS Bibinagar Overwhelmed by Patient Influx Due to Affordable Services
Imagine a super popular new toy store that decided to sell all its toys for just 10 cents!
Lots and lots of kids would rush to the store to buy toys, right?
AIIMS Bibinagar is like that toy store, but for doctor visits.
They decided to make seeing a doctor there really cheap, only Rs 10.
Because it's so affordable, way more people than expected are coming to see the doctors.
Now, there are so many people waiting in line that it's hard for everyone to get their turn.
People have to wait for hours just to get a ticket to see a doctor, and sometimes they can't even finish their visit in one day.
The hospital is trying its best, but they need to find ways to manage the crowds better so everyone can be seen faster and get the help they need without such long waits.
AIIMS Bibinagar is facing significant challenges due to a surge in patient numbers driven by its affordable Rs 10 outpatient services.
Long waiting times, sometimes up to two hours for an OP card, are frustrating patients and straining hospital resources.
Patient visits have dramatically increased year over year, with the current year's OP count already exceeding 2.79 lakh by September.
The hospital currently operates with limited OP card registration counters (10) and a specific time window (9 am to 2 pm).
With a 750-bed emergency block expected to open soon, hospital authorities are urged to implement better crowd management and faster registration systems.
