India's MEA: FCRA Bill is Internal Matter, Rejects US Criticism

India makes its own rules about money that comes from other countries.

The new rule is called the Foreign Contribution Amendment Bill, 2026.

Some people in other countries do not like this rule.

A lawmaker from the United States, named Riley Moore, said he does not support it.

India's Ministry of External Affairs, which handles India's relations with other countries, answered back.

It said that how India makes its laws is an internal matter for India.

That means the decision belongs to India's Parliament, not to people in other countries.

The bill will be discussed in the next session of Parliament.

India's government is also talking with religious groups and other organizations about the bill.
