Bengaluru Metro Pink Line Nears Launch
The Bengaluru Metro's Pink Line is almost ready.
It will go from Kalena Agrahara in the south to Nagawara in the north.
The first part, from Kalena Agrahara to Tavarekere, might open in May 2026.
This will help people travel faster and easier, especially those living near Bannerghatta Road.
The whole line is expected to be ready by December 2026.
The government is also working on other metro lines, like the one going to the airport.
They want to make sure everything is finished on time.
The Pink Line will connect Kalena Agrahara in the south to Nagawara in the north, with both elevated and underground sections.
The first operational section, from Kalena Agrahara to Tavarekere, is expected to open in May 2026.
Key stations in the first phase include Kalena Agrahara, Hulimavu, IIM Bengaluru, JP Nagar Fourth Phase, Jayadeva, and Tavarekere.
The full line is targeted for completion by December 2026, with the prototype train to be unveiled on December 11, 2025.
The Pink Line will provide faster commutes, better access to educational institutions and hospitals, and reduce reliance on autos during peak hours.
