How to Check EPF Balance and Download Passbook
If you work a job in India, you probably have a savings account called EPF.
The government pays 8.25% interest on it each year.
You can see how much you have saved by logging into a website or a phone app called Umang.
The screen will show how much you and your boss have put in, how much interest you earned, and the total amount.
You can also download a PDF copy of this information.
If you just started, you might have to wait a few hours for the account to become active.
The money you put in is tax‑free up to a certain limit, and the interest you earn is also tax‑free up to a limit.
