RPF recovers Rs 3 lakh gold chain left in train

A lady named M Kavitha was travelling on a train when she accidentally forgot her gold necklace under a pillow.

The necklace is called a mangalasutram and is worth about Rs 3 lakh.

When she realised it was missing, she told the Railway Protection Force using the Rail Madad system.

The railway police searched the train and found the necklace exactly where she had left it.

They kept the 24-gram chain safe and informed Kavitha that it had been found.

After finishing her temple visit, Kavitha came to the RPF office in Tirupati with her husband.

The police checked the paperwork and handed the necklace back to her.

Kavitha and her husband thanked the police for acting so quickly.

The precious chain was safely returned to its owner.
