Haryana Praises Agnipath Scheme for Youth
A minister in Haryana, India, talked about a special program called the Agnipath Scheme.
This program helps young people join the military for four years.
The minister said it makes young people more disciplined and patriotic.
After their service, the Haryana government will help them find jobs.
The minister also mentioned that many young people from Haryana join the military, showing their love for the country.
The government has also given jobs to families of soldiers who have died in service.
Some people support the scheme, while others think it doesn't provide enough long-term benefits.
The Agnipath Scheme was launched in June 2022 to promote discipline, patriotism, and national service among youth.
Haryana is the first state to provide employment security to Agniveers after their service.
1,830 Agniveers were recruited from Haryana in 2022-23, and 2,215 in 2023-24.
The Haryana Agniveer Policy-2024 will be implemented from August 2026 to secure the future of Agniveers.
Government jobs have been provided to the dependents of 418 martyrs since October 2014.
