India Expands Influence Strategically in the Indo-Pacific Region

India’s leader, Narendra Modi, has been visiting almost every country in the Indo‑Pacific, like Japan, Singapore, and Australia, to build friendships.

He has gone to many big meetings, such as the QUAD talks, to show India’s growing power.

India also started a big $10‑billion project on Great Nicobar Island near a busy sea route.

Modi wants India to be part of a free, open, and inclusive Indo‑Pacific, not just the US’s idea.

A former Singapore leader, Lee Kuan Yew, said China’s rise will change the world balance in the next 30‑40 years, which shows why India is paying attention.
