Punjab & Haryana HC Orders UT Admin on Court Infrastructure Upgrades
Imagine a big courthouse where lawyers and people go to sort out problems.
The head judges at the Punjab and Haryana High Court looked at a plan to make the courthouse better.
The lawyers told the judges that there aren't enough bathrooms for everyone to use outside, especially near the old buildings.
They also said it would be helpful to have covered walkways, like little roofs on the ground, so people don't get wet or too hot when they walk from the parking lot.
The judges are asking the people who manage the city to work on these improvements.
The Punjab and Haryana High Court reviewed infrastructure development plans for the court complex.
The Bar Association highlighted the urgent need for public toilet facilities behind the heritage complex.
Concerns were also raised about the lack of covered walkways for those using parking areas.
The Division Bench heard submissions from both the Bar and the Chandigarh administration.
The court is monitoring progress on parking, judges' quarters, and campus redevelopment.
