BJP-JD(S) Delegation Urges Governor to Halt Political Cases

Leaders from the BJP and JD(S) went to meet Karnataka’s Governor.

They said police were filing cases against opposition party workers for political reasons.

They connected some cases to forms used in work on electoral rolls.

The leaders asked the Governor to step in and stop the cases they say are unfair.

R. Ashoka also asked for the state government to be dismissed.

He criticized possible increases in milk and bus prices, but the article does not say these increases have been approved.

The government’s response to the allegations was not included.

A JD(S) leader said the alliance plans to contest future elections together.
