Nashik Achieves 100% RBSK Surgery Completion
Nashik district in India has done something amazing for children's health.
They completed all the necessary surgeries and check-ups for every child in their area through a special program called RBSK.
This program helps children from birth to 18 years old by giving them free health check-ups and surgeries for problems like cleft lip, heart issues, and more.
The program uses mobile health teams to examine children in schools and Anganwadis (childcare centers).
In 2024-25, they finished 100% of the required surgeries and examinations.
This has helped reduce the number of babies dying before age 5 and has controlled diseases like thalassemia.
The leaders of this program are Dr. Charudatta Shinde and Dr. Sandeep Suryavanshi.
This success shows how important it is to take care of children's health and gives them a better future.
