Keralam Unveils GCC Boilerplate to Draw Firms to Kochi
Keralam wants more global companies to open offices in the State.
These offices are called global capability centres, or GCCs.
On September 5, it plans to introduce a ready-made set of rules and financial benefits for those companies.
Kochi is being promoted as a less crowded alternative to larger cities.
A workspace called “i by Infopark” will help companies get started.
Companies can use the 48,000-square-foot facility for free for six months while they look for permanent offices.
The building is designed to be friendly to neurodivergent workers and uses sounds, smells, sights, and tastes in its design.
Keralam will first focus on industries such as aviation, travel, energy, maritime, and logistics.
Keralam will launch a plug-and-play GCC regulatory blueprint with fiscal incentives on September 5.
The plan promotes tier-2 technology hubs, especially Kochi, as alternatives to saturated major cities.
Infopark’s 48,000-square-foot “i by Infopark” will offer companies free use for six months while they find permanent offices.
The neurodivergent-friendly facility is located at Ernakulam South Metro Station and uses sensory design elements.
Keralam will initially target aviation, travel, energy, oil and gas, maritime, and logistics companies.
