Rajasthan Minister Hospitalised as H1N1 Cases Surge Eightfold

Rajasthan Agriculture Minister Kirodi Lal Meena tested positive for H1N1, also called swine flu.

He was taken to a hospital.

Rajasthan has reported more H1N1 cases this August than it did last August.

There were 129 cases in the first 15 days of August 2026.

There were only 16 cases during the same period last year.

This means the number of cases increased by nearly eight times.

The state has not reported any deaths from swine flu this year.

Health department data was cited in the report.
