Bengaluru Metro Pink Line Services Likely To Start October

Bengaluru Metro Pink Line Services Likely To Start October

Bengaluru is preparing to open part of its new Pink Metro Line.

The first section will run for 7.5 kilometres between Kalena Agrahara and Tavarekere.

New trains made by BEML have been approved for this route.

Safety officials must inspect and approve the line before passengers can use it.

That inspection may happen in the first week of October.

If approval is completed, services could begin in the second or third week of October.

The first section will have six stations.

Passengers will be able to change to the Yellow Line at Jayadeva Hospital.

The new route could give people in southern Bengaluru another way to travel and may reduce pressure on busy roads.
