ACS Declines CM's Nal Jal Scheme Minutes
There was a meeting about a water project called Nal Jal Yojna.
The Chief Minister and some officials decided that a department called PHED should take care of the project for three years.
But the person in charge of money, called the ACS, said he didn't agree with the decision.
He said he wouldn't give money to PHED and instead would give it to another department.
Now, the ministers and officials are waiting for the Chief Minister to make a final decision about what to do.
ACS Manish Rastogi declined to accept the minutes of CM Mohan Yadav’s meeting on the operation and maintenance of the rural Nal Jal scheme.
The meeting decided that PHED should handle the operation, maintenance, and management of the Nal Jal Yojna for three years.
Rastogi disagreed with the decisions and stated he would not provide funds to PHED, instead directing funds to the Panchayat and Rural Development Department.
Chief Secretary Anurag Jain instructed the preparation of a fresh operation and maintenance policy to be presented to the Chief Minister.
The decision on the policy is now pending with the Chief Minister, as the involved departments await his final decision.
