Apple to Open Second Mumbai Store in Borivali
Apple is going to open a new store in Mumbai, India.
This will be their second store in the city and the sixth in the whole country.
The new store is in a place called Borivali, in a big shopping mall.
Apple's boss, Tim Cook, said they are excited to open more stores because many people in India want to buy their products.
The store is quite big, and Apple has signed a long-term lease to rent the space.
They will pay a lot of money for rent and also share some of their store's earnings with the building owners.
This new store is part of Apple's plan to sell more iPhones and other products in India, where the company is growing very fast.
Apple is set to open its second retail store in Mumbai, located at Oberoi Sky City Mall in Borivali (East).
This will be Apple's sixth store in India, following outlets in New Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai (BKC), Pune, and Noida.
The new store will occupy a ground-floor space of approximately 12,616 square feet, with additional facilities including a storage area and parking.
Apple has signed a 10-year and 10-month lease with a 10-month rent-free period, starting at Rs. 17.35 lakh per month, escalating by 15% every 36 months.
The expansion is part of Apple's broader strategy to capture a larger share of the premium consumer market in India, where it has reported record retail results.
